New Beginnings

Lately I have been wanting a heart of flesh. After seasons of our lives where we go through a lot, it can be easy to buckle down and decide not to feel. Sometimes feeling means you have to allow some of the hurt and disappointment to come. Quite by accident, I realized I had been doing this. It’s easier to just not feel, put your head down and endure.

Here’s the thing, He wants to put His spirit in us, refresh us, and give us a heart of flesh. One that moves, feels, experiences His goodness, love, hope. All of it.

I believe there are new beginnings coming, but we won’t be able to fully experience what He has if our hearts are hard due to some of the hardships of our prior seasons. I invite you to ask Him to give you a heart of flesh. Yes, you may feel some of the disappointments and pains of life, but then on the other side is a soft, tender heart before the Lord, ready for all the new He has for you.
