Simple

As the school year quickly approaches for our family, I find myself praying and seeking God for what this next season of life may hold. The thoughts of fall bring all sorts of happy ideas of how to connect and gather as a family. As a family, we have made it a habit to find ways to declutter and unwind the busy in our lives. Instead of one more activity to keep up with the Jones’s … what if we stayed in and baked cookies. Or lately Cory and I have been trying to land on an exciting classic for nights of reading together. We don’t have it all together, and honestly this last summer was sort of a chaotic adventure, but I feel this beautiful invitation for quiet simplicity. I’m ready to gain the moments of connection.

Family is my highest calling. Creating a space for them to thrive is exhilarating to me. Candles, blankets, books, and treats. Music, singing, dancing, and make believe. Football, appetizers, painting, and walks. All some of our pieces of quiet and home.
